Hi, I'm Charlotte, and I run this blog.
I'm 18 years old and in my second year of college studying psychology, biology, and geography. I live in England, so college is the thing you do for two years before university and after secondary school. You start at 16 and usually finish when you're 18, but you can stay on for extra years (like I plan on doing). Cats, books, and scented candles are three of my favourite things - seriously, my house is full of all of them. Reading is not my only hobby, I also mess around with a camera and like to call it photography.
Those are my cats - Cobwebs, Mysha, Draco, and Luna - and proof that I might be turning into a cat lady already. Cobwebs and Mysha are brother and sister and are going to be two in May. Draco and Luna are also brother and sister, but will be turning four in August. We've had all four of them since they were kittens and no, they do not all get along.
I'm also a big fan of The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, and Marvel. I don't really talk about them on here (okay, I try to mention A Song of Ice and Fire wherever possible, but you know what I mean) and I feel like that needs to change. I have a shelf on my bookcase just for my Walking Dead graphic novels, a shelf for my Game of Thrones books, and a shelf for my Marvel graphic novels. I'm clearly a very organised person.
So that's a little - or a lot - about me. I hope you feel like you know your blogger a bit better, and I feel a bit better knowing I've introduced myself properly. Thanks for reading this, if you did, leave me a comment introducing yourself or share a fact about yourself. I'd love to get to know you better!
Your cats are so cute! I really want one, but my mom is allergic so we can't :( I also really like photography. My school offers it as a course, and it's really cool!
ReplyDeleteThank you! We got lucky with Cobwebs and Luna because we didn't choose them from their litters, but they're such lovely little creatures we don't care. You're so lucky! What do you do on the course? Do you learn to edit photos as well as compose images and take them?
DeleteYes! We'd go around cities taking pictures of the nature, culture etc. then we learned to edit, use filters and photoshop. I'm still trying to get the hang of it, I'm not very good, so I'm taking more courses next semester for more practice.
DeleteThat sounds so fun! The only way I'd be able to do that is to join a club, and I don't think there are many close to me. I'd love to do something like that though, rather than just figure it out for myself! What camera do you have, if you don't mind me asking? :)
DeleteWe borrow them from the school, so I'm not entirely sure off by heart. I know it's a canon rebel, but I don't know the exact model. It's really good to join a club because I feel like you learn a lot more! If one opens near you, I would highly recommend it.
DeleteI'm a Nikon fan myself but I feel like Canons can produce really lovely professional looking shots. I'm definitely going to have a look around see if there are any clubs in my town or at my college, because it sounds like a lot of fun as well as being helpful!
DeleteCanons do take beutiful pictures but I think that it all depends on what your preference is. Good luck club searching!
DeleteThat's why I'm a Nikon fan, I find them much easier to use and handle. Thank you!
DeleteAwesome! I always forget that there are lovely intelligent people behind these web personas! This was really personal and cute and it was lovely to know that you are a human being ^_^ Really enjoyed this!! Cats are adorable :3 I'm still in secondary school, what do you study at college? I don't think you said!
ReplyDeleteSo do I, but I've recently seen a lot of 'about me' type posts and I love them because I'm nosy haha. Thank you! That was the feeling I was aiming for, so it's nice to know I didn't miss it completely. I study psychology, biology, and geography. Have you chosen your options for GCSE yet? :)
DeleteHey Charlotte! I love this post. Its great to get to know you more and I loved seeing your cats. I have one called Timmy and he looks a bit liked your Draco. I am a huge fan of the Marvel movies but have never ventured into the comic books.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let you know that I nominated you for the Sisterhood of the Worlds Bloggers Award. Click here to read my post. I hope you enjoy answering my questions.

Thank you! I couldn't not share my cats with my blog, they're my favourite things in the world and I get an odd sense of pride out of showing them off haha! Awww, he sounds adorable! I know a cat called Timmy and he's the friendliest thing ever. If you're interested in the comics at all, I'd definitely say start with Marvel Now; it's not as confusing!
DeleteI've actually got a post for that award lined up because someone else nominated me too (and if I remember correctly I was planning on nominating you haha). I'll be sure to check out your questions and include them in my post as well!
It's always so nice to get to know more about the people behind blogs, and be reminded that they are just not great minds - but actual, intelligent people, you know? Your cats are really adorable! And oh yes I have to agree with you on the scented candles..
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you! I feel like it's very easy to forget that bloggers are actually people who sit down to write all these posts and share content with everyone, so I always enjoy more personal posts. Thank you! Yankee Candles are my undoing... When I see find ones I like then I have to get them.
DeleteHi there, gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteHello! ^_^
