October TBR

Friday 30 September 2016

I don't normally make to be read lists on a monthly basis, but my reading has been all over the place and rather hit and miss recently, so I thought I'd try and organise myself a little.

October always feels a little spooky - mostly because of Halloween, but also because things start to become more autumnal and dark and cold - so I like to try and read more horror and darker, creepier books. However, I didn't want to totally deplete my horror collection, or read too much Stephen King.

Feed and Firestarter will fulfill my cravings for horror, gore, and zombies (as will the return of The Walking Dead which I cannot wait for) and I'm hoping Rebecca and American Psycho will cover the dark creepy part of what I'm looking for.

This isn't the most ambitious TBR in terms of how many books there are, but if I can manage all of it then I'll have taken out a chunk of my unread book collection. Not only is one of the books quite long, two of them are classics, and most of them have been on my shelf for a good while.

What's on your October TBR?

  1. Every October I say I'm going to get into spooky books and I never do. Maybe this year is the time to do it!

    1. You should! Anna Dressed in Blood is a good place to start, as it's horror but not too scary. And anything with vampires, werewolves, fairies, witches, dragons, and other creatures is good too!

Got a thought or an opinion? I'd love to hear it.
